Sioux Falls and Bismarck have already formed schools of this nature to as well. The State of South Dakota even goes so far as to pay for part or all of the tuition if you stay in the state after you finish your degree and work in your field.
On the other side of the border, the ND school plans to offer courses to qualifying High School age applicants. This allows them to take college classes in their fields at the same time that they take their required high school courses. The idea is that they will be able to graduate from High School and have their Academy Degree completed at the same time. From there, they can go right into the field and begin working.
I am very excited about this possibility and want to share this with all of you. It would mean a lot for the design and construction fields in the State of North Dakota, and we hope they can make it work. They are currently looking for land and funding, and we will let you know if and when they are breaking ground.
